Pond House

This project involved the design of a small 3 bedroom cabin within a wonderful undeveloped 19 acre site with several streams, a small pond, and large stone outcroppings.

The residence is a simple gable form with a flat roof extension shielding the building entry, and covering an exterior deck area. The gable is oriented to true south overlooking the pond. The material palette includes rusted corten standing seam roof and wall panels, with a blackened cedar at the exposed structure and gable ends.This was a wonderful project.  For Architects,  there are few opportunities more exciting than developing a custom design within a beautiful site.
