About Assa Ashuach:

Assa is a director at Assa Studio Limited in London and has been at the forefront of exploring the creative potential of additive manufacturing since the early 2000’s with work exhibited and included in major international galleries and public museum collections. He has produced some of the world's first mass market 3D printed products. His designs integrate sensors and AI with bio-inspired forms and mechanisms. Assa is the Course Leader of the MA Design for Industry 5.0 at Central St Martins School in London.

About the project:

The Evolve Ai Shoes, a new biometric evolutionary footwear.

A shoe that studies its user and improves over time. We propose a new evolutionary design approach, whereby user sensors biometric data is collected over time, to achieve a gradual improvement of the shoe. Users simply live their lives, while the object virtually evolves and improves over time.

The project was awarded the S+T+ARTS award for EU research excellence.
